While you are bargain shopping for college you are going to need bedding. Here are all the tips to get the most out of your dorm bedding.

While you are bargain shopping for college you are going to need bedding. I suggest a few tips to follow:

Get extra-long twin sheets, [double check your dorm for specific size, if you are not sure].

Buy prints. Your bed will double as a sofa, dining table, study space, and then some. White bedding will be ruined quickly.

Buy as high a thread-count as you can afford. Do keep your eyes open for sales.

Buy multiple sets of sheets. Unless you are doing laundry often, your sheets will get grungy.

Look into a comforter and duvet cover. The type where the comforter slides into the cover, which easily removed for washing.

Invest in a mattress pad. Dorm mattresses are notoriously hard as rock, investing in a good mattress pad, is worth it. If you can afford, look into memory foam or egg crate pads. However, wait until you hit campus before you buy the extra foam/pad, it takes lots of packing space you might not have.

Polar Fleece Blankets? Those heading to colder climates may want to invest in a couple of extra blankets. Smaller versions are great for tossing over your shoulders when studying.
