Check with your parents/guardian as to having a rider put on their household insurance plan.</p>
<p>If that is not an option, look into renters insurance. You can get several tens-of-thousands of dollars of insurance for $50 bucks and upwards-maybe even cheaper.</p>
<p>Then grab your camera [or cell phone camera or video] and record images of your stuff.  Keep copies in a safe place.  Should anything happen, this documentation will be helpful in making a claim.  It is always best to be prepared.</p>
